YouTubers sing "We Are the World"

If you haven't had the chance to see this video yet, I recommend that you do.

The internet has opened up so many opportunities for emerging talent to make their way to your eyeballs ( and ears in this case). Lisa Lavie is a singer that posts cover versions of pop songs on her YouTube Channel. Her most recent creation is a version of "We Are The World" where she collected vocals from 56 emerging singers for what she calls "We Are the World - YouTube version".

What was really interesting to me was that you can find out who each singer is by placing your cursor over the little "i" in the bottom right hand corner. In fact, if you click on it, you will be sent to that singers YouTube channel.

The lesson we learn from Lisa is that sometimes all it takes is a new twist to stand out. You don't need a bevy of A-listers to sing We Are the World and make a difference... instead you need imagination and a shift in perspective.

Don't forget to continue to donate to Haiti through your preferred method. I recommend the Red Cross.
